Forget the Guidebooks: a Curious Day in Comayagua

There’s nothing like a couple of locals to show you around a new city. Well, almost. A couple of gringos who have been stationed there for 6 months will do the trick, too. They also come with a well-preserved sense of wonder, which turned out to be just the thing for Comayagua.

Cobblestone and Ice Cream in Antigua

Antigua was love at first sight. Cobblestone streets and blue mountain backdrops, colorful buildings with flowering vines spilling over the walls, heavy wooden doors hiding courtyard fountains, open-air markets, and at least one gourmet ice cream shop. Be still, my heart!
